Dr Jen Scott

With a career spanning Canada, the US, Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand, Jen brings a global perspective to business education. Armed with a Doctorate in Business Administration, an MBA in Project Management and Leadership, and a background in Honours Chemistry (yes, really!), she blends strategic thinking with real-world impact -helping teachers energise their classrooms and inspire the next generation of business leaders.
After years of teaching at the university level, Jen saw the real magic happen earlier, when students first connect with business concepts and realise their own potential. Now, at Ripyl, she’s on a mission to help teachers create those ‘aha’ moments, where learning clicks, confidence grows, and students see themselves as future changemakers.
Jen believes that great teaching is about relevance, creativity, and connection, helping students bridge theory and practice in ways that feel real and engaging. At Ripyl, she’s dedicated to giving teachers the tools, confidence, and community to build dynamic, future-focused classrooms, while saving them valuable time in the process.

Carlyn brings over 20 years of global teaching experience to Ripyl, having taught business and commerce in the United Kingdom, South Africa, and New Zealand. A passionate educator, she’s on a mission to ignite a love for learning, helping students not just show up to class, but thrive in it.
After experiencing Ripyl in action in her high school business class, Carlyn saw firsthand how it transforms classrooms, turning students into engaged, inspired, and motivated learners who actually can’t wait for the next lesson. Now, as Ripyl’s Lead Teacher, she’s empowering teachers with ready-to-use resources that make business education dynamic, meaningful, and ridiculously fun.
Her creativity, innovative teaching style, and deep commitment to doing things differently have shaped Ripyl’s approach from day one. Carlyn knows that when teachers are supported, classrooms become places of energy, excitement, and real-world learning.

Matthew Conger

Matthew brings a unique blend of classroom expertise and world-class officiating to Ripyl. A dedicated primary school teacher from Palmerston North, he has also made his mark on the global stage as a FIFA referee, officiating at prestigious tournaments including the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups.
His journey from the classroom to the world’s biggest football arenas has equipped him with a keen eye for detail, exceptional decision-making skills, and the ability to perform under pressure—qualities he now channels into empowering educators. At Ripyl, Matthew is committed to bridging the gap between theory and practice, helping teachers create dynamic, real-world learning experiences that inspire and engage students.
Passionate about education and mentorship, Matthew believes in the power of interactive and practical learning. He strives to support teachers in fostering environments where students are motivated to explore, question, and apply business concepts, preparing them to navigate and succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Dave is on a mission to revolutionise business education. A problem-solver, and team builder, he has spent over two decades launching and leading accelerator programs that have helped founders raise millions. Now, with Ripyl, he’s bringing that same energy to the classroom, giving high school teachers the tools to make business and commerce education real, relevant, and ridiculously engaging.Originally from California, Dave was instrumental in building one of the first online banking systems in the ’90s, but his real passion lies in empowering people to think like entrepreneurs, whether they’re launching startups or simply learning the fundamentals of business. He believes that if every kid in New Zealand understood the cost of goods sold at their lemonade stand, the world would be a wickedly better place.
Ripyl was born from a simple idea: business education should be real, relevant, and engaging. After years of working with startups and seeing firsthand what separates successful founders from the rest, he realised something, entrepreneurial thinking isn’t just for startups. It’s a life skill. If we can equip students with problem-solving, creativity, and financial know-how early on, we’re setting them up for a lifetime of success, whether they launch businesses, lead teams, or just navigate the world with confidence. Ripyl is our way of making that happen.

With 25+ years in the design and marketing industry, Bronwyn has built brands, led campaigns, and crafted strategies that connect, captivate, and convert. As the founder of her own design agency, she knows firsthand what it takes to create bold, customer-centric marketing that cuts through the noise.
Her experience as an owner-operator has fueled her passion for educating young people about business - understanding what it takes to successfully deliver products and services, the value of time, and how to bring ideas to life.
Now, as Ripyl’s CMO, Bronwyn oversees everything brand, marketing, and collateral build, ensuring that every touchpoint reflects Ripyl’s mission to make business education real, relevant, and ridiculously engaging.
Her superpower? Turning strategy into visually compelling, high-impact campaigns that not only look great but drive real engagement.
